Whole Cyber Shares the Stage with Partners at Cyber Futre Foundations 2021 Summit

October 21, 2021

Months ago before the formation of Whole Cyber Human Initiative, Founder Paul Cummings was approached by now CoFounder of Whole Cyber Human Initiative, Leah McClean to speak at Cyber Future Foundation's 2021 Summit.

Joining both partners and advisory board members, Paul joined center stage with Naomi Buckwalter of Cybersecurity Gatebreakers Foundation and Christophe Foulon of CPF Coaching to talk about the state of cybersecurity roles and how we as leaders can reshape the broken hiring process. We have been overlooking talented individuals that have immense transferable skills, Our Veterans and First Responders. Having several mentees each that are transitions service members, it was found out that these individuals are not getting selected for cyber roles. A Transitioning Service Member and First Responder have very transferable skills that doesn't gate them to just entry-level. For instance, a 20 year military retiree has decades of leadership and management skills that can align them to the unfilled and less technical mid-senior level roles once they get the proper training and mentorship.
